How much does it cost to clean an air conditioner in Israel?

As of September 2026, Sayeret HaMazganim's published price for professional air conditioner cleaning is ₪350 for a single split (wall-mounted) unit, with multi-unit packages bringing the per-unit price down substantially: ₪499 for two and ₪749 for three. A mini-central (מיני מרכזי) system starts at ₪450 because it takes two to three times as long, with each air duct priced separately from ₪249. Beware rock-bottom quotes — at that price the job is a filter rinse, not a deep clean, and it will not remove mold from the cooling coil.

What's included — and what "cleaning" means elsewhere

A lot of companies in Israel will quote you a rock-bottom price to "clean" an AC. What that usually buys is a filter rinse and a wipe of the plastic cover. It takes ten minutes, it changes nothing, and the smell comes back the same week. That is not what we do and it is why our number is higher.

Every deep clean we quote includes, as standard:

✔ Filters removed and washed
✔ Cooling coil pressure-washed — the part that actually holds the mold
✔ Blower wheel cleaned (the drum that flings dust through the room)
✔ Drain pan and drain line cleared — this is what stops the dripping
✔ EPA-approved disinfectant and deodoriser
✔ Function and temperature check before we leave
✔ Furniture and floor protected; all waste taken away
✔ Before and after photos, sent to you

What changes the price

Number of units. The per-unit price drops sharply from the second unit onwards, because most of the cost is getting to you and setting up.

System type. A mini-central takes two to three times as long as a wall unit and needs different equipment.

Number of ducts. For mini-central systems, each duct is priced separately — a 5-duct apartment is a bigger job than a 2-duct one.

Condition. A unit that hasn't been touched in five years needs more chemical, more time, and sometimes a second pass.

All of it is assessed and priced before we start. If we open the unit and find something that changes the number, we stop and tell you, and you decide. We have never added a charge to an invoice that wasn't agreed first.

Payment

Cash, Bit, bank transfer or card. A tax invoice (חשבונית מס) is issued for every job and we'll send it in English if you need it for a relocation package or an employer reimbursement. Payment is taken after the work, never before.
